The foundation of this practice is built on the view of Traditional Thai Medicine, utilizing the modality of Thai massage. Thai massage, nuad borarn, is the art of sacred healing touch and is based in an elemental view of the body. Sometimes nicknamed lazy man's yoga, this practice is misunderstood to be all stretching, where in reality that is only a very small part of the work. The pressure is dynamic, gentle to incredibly deep, depending what the patient needs.
The somatic element addition has been essential for western minds and bodys. We need extra support to find awareness of the body, release the stuck tension, and expand into full hearted awareness. From the lens of somatic bodywork, Julia can help coach you into your body and find the held patterns of tension, which bring you out of alignment. Once you release the pattern, you can start working on strengthing and building more benefitcial habits.
With this approach Julia can easily integrate mayofascial release and craniosacral techniques to guide the body into a complete unwinding, finding a place of absolute nourishment and re-alingment.
A session can also easily adapt in somatic coaching elements, sometimes an individual needs empathetic support and guidance through difficult times. From Julia's extensive and on-going studies of the mind, body, and speech, she is fully prepared to sit with you and process the hard, yucky, and raw things that can emerge within the human experience.
This work requires individuals who are ready to step into a place of responsibilty for their wellness journey. Julia can help you feel better, but it is up to you to allow your life to shift to support his new emerging you.
