Bio:
Julia Hyndman-Helmkamp is the founder and director of Tulip Tree Collective — a space where healing, creativity, and community meet. Her roots are in Traditional Thai medicine, and she has spent nearly 10 years studying and practicing bodywork with a focus on supporting the body’s natural capacity to restore balance.
Julia now offers Integrated Therapeutic Bodywork, including prenatal sessions and Somatic Stress Release™, blending the principles of Traditional Thai medicine with modern approaches to nervous system care. Her work is ADA-accessible and deeply client-centered, meeting each person exactly where they are.
Beyond her bodywork, Julia is an artist and painter, bringing her love for creative expression into her work with groups and community events. She teaches, facilitates, and curates experiences that invite others to reconnect with their bodies, express themselves, and feel at home in community.
Julia’s vision for Tulip Tree Collective continues to grow — weaving together massage, movement, art, and education to create a future space where all these threads can live under one roof.
Story:
My work began as a deeply personal journey of healing. For years, I carried fear and pain that kept me small — and I also carried a longing for freedom, creativity, and wholeness.
After earning my BFA in Fine Art, my path led me to the study of Traditional Thai Massage and Somatic Bodywork. These practices were transformational — they helped me feel at home in my body and taught me what it means to be truly present. From that moment, I knew I wanted to help others find this same sense of belonging and possibility.
Today, I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and founder of Tulip Tree Collective. My sessions weave together integrated therapeutic bodywork, prenatal care, and Somatic Stress Release™, grounded in Traditional Thai medicine and now fully ADA accessible. Beyond the table, I am an artist, group facilitator, and teacher — creating spaces where movement, art, and community come alive.
My work invites collaboration. I can guide you toward ease, embodiment, and expression, but real transformation blooms when you participate fully. Together, we create change that can ripple into every part of your life.
I share an incredible amount of gratitude to my teachers, mentors, and guides. Any mistake that I make is entirely my fault.
