April Full Moon Ecstatic Dance

Full Moon Ecstatic Dance presented by Tulip Tree Healing Arts Collective hosted by Unify Ballroom.

Ecstatic Dance is a freeform dance movement journey, held in a safe and sacred container. It’s a place where we can be our unique selves without distraction. The music gradually builds intensity into an ecstatic state and gently brings us back down. It is a dance done with no talking, no shoes, and no drugs/alcohol to support the ease of finding authenticity and a meditative space.

Arrive by 6PM for a somatic dance warm-up led by Julia and circle up by 6:30PM for the ecstatic dance.

We invite you to dress in fun clothing if you want. Costumes, colorful clothes, wild outfits, onesies, whatever brings you joy. Of course this is not required, and most of all we encourage you to be comfortable and feel authentic. 

You are also invited to bring something to add to the altar if you wish. This could be an expression of your spirituality, your practice, or even something fun that you want to share with others. Ideas: candle, figure, cards, glitter, facepaint, scarves, dancing prop, book, art, poetry, inspiration...etc.

We are very excited to announce this month's DJ is Orion Valencia

Orion is an enthusiastic ecstatic dancer and longtime DJ/music producer from Washington State. After landing in Fort Wayne and discovering the local Ecstatic Dance scene, he is excited to bring with him a set that moves one from darkness to light. Evoking an inward journey of personal evolution by using themes that reflect the human relationship with technology.

This dance is located at Unify Ballroom, which is in the North Crest Shopping Center by Five Guys and Cardinal Unlimited.

All beings are welcome to this event, there is no need to have previous experience. It is natural to feel hesitant and nervous on attending your first dance, from there most people feel welcomed, at ease, and freedom in the space. You are not required to come the whole time, so if you discover it is not for you, no hard feelings, you are welcome to leave.

Tickets are offered on a sliding scale. That means you get to choose what fits in your budget. If you want to offer work trade for a ticket, please email julia@tuliptreehac.com :)
