About the event
Full Moon Ecstatic Dance presented by Tulip Tree Healing Arts Collective hosted by Unify Ballroom.
Ecstatic Dance is a freeform dance movement journey, held in a safe and sacred container. It’s a place where we can be our unique selves without distraction. The music gradually builds intensity into an ecstatic state and gently brings us back down. It is a dance done with no talking and no drugs/alcohol to support the ease of finding authenticity and a meditative space.
Arrival by 6:15PM, circle up by 6:30PM.
You are also invited to bring something to add to the altar if you wish. This could be an expression of your spirituality, your practice, or even something fun that you want to share with others. Ideas: candle, figure, cards, glitter, facepaint, scarves, dancing prop, book, art, poetry, inspiration...etc.
We are very excited to announce this month's DJ is Joshua Elias.
Never one to bend to trends or cultural norms, Joshua Elias has always aimed to create tracks that push beyond the typical while glimpsing the outer reaches of what is possible with dance music. Whether it be on the dance floor or in the comfort of one's own living room, Elias's tracks invite the listener to question their own assumptions of what defines electronic music. A self proclaimed minimalist, Joshua seeks to find beauty in the subtle while constantly searching for the groove to establish the perfect moment.

If you are interested in being one of the rotating DJs, please let Julia know. To DJ, the requirement is to at least attend one dance. You can email her at julia@tuliptreehac.com
All beings are welcome to this event, there is no need to have previous experience. It is natural to feel hesitant and nervous on attending your first dance, from there most people feel welcomed, at ease, and freedom in the space. You are not required to come the whole time, so if you discover it is not for you, no hard feelings, you are welcome to leave.
This event is put on by a collaborative effort of multiple individuals. We now ask for ticket fees on a slidding scale. The revenue goes to support the venue, all the helpers, and Tulip Tree Healing Arts Collective. In order to keep these events sustainable we need an equal energy exchange. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
